According to client's need, inspections may take place at the following stages of the production of merchandise.

1.Initial Production Check (IPC) Materials, components and the first few finished units are checked at the commencement of production against specifications and reference samples. The IPC should be carried out then approximately 10% of the merchandise has been produced (minimum 50 pieces)

2.During Production Check (DUPRO). SGS will check that the corrections and improvements suggested during the IPC were implemented, examine the existing production, advise the manufactures of any further corrections or improvements to be made. The DUPRO should be carried out when 30~50% of the merchandise has been produced (minimum 50 pieces).

3.Final Random Pre-shipment Inspection (FRI): SGS will check the selected samples against the specifications and reference samples. This inspection involves a close examination covering such items as construction, workmanship, function, appearance, packing, labeling and marking, etc. If necessary, we will draw samples on site and send them to SGS lab or the destinations appointed by the client for analysis.  FRI takes place after the merchandise has been 100% produced and at least 80% of the shipment packed.

4.Loading Supervision (LS): This service ensure that a lot is being shipped in proper condition and in its entirety. When the lot is to be shipped by container, SGS first examine the container itself and then ensure that the stuffing operation is carried out properly, namely that cartons are securely stacked and not mishandled.

5.Claim Survey (CS): When the merchandise arrived at the destination, SGS will check the selected samples against the specifications and reference samples.

Inspection service procedure
1 step: client
Fill in the application for inspection service
Offer the copy for order form and credit letter
Present the inspection standards and detail requirement
2 step:  fax to SGS. SGS check all the documents.
3 step:  SGS confirm the application, then  and fax the quotation to client
4 step:  client accept the quotation and sign it, then fax it back to SGS. Client should remit money before inspection operation, and fax the copy of transfer receipt to SGS.
5 step:  SGS fax the inspection requisition to client. Client confirm the detail and sign it, then fax back to SGS.
6 step:   In the next workday after operation, SGS will send the inspection report to buyer per mail or fax. Once the buyer confirmed it, SGS will provide certificate to supplier immediately.
